A New Members meeting is set for April 15. The overall theme will be Pride and Prejudice, but no set agenda is planned. Members new (and long-standing) are welcome to come and share our mutual love and admiration of all things Austen!
We have a speaker for our upcoming Spring Luncheon on May 12. Dr. Anita Fisher, a history professor at Clark College and colleague of our own Pat Fulbright, will be talking about women's issues in Jane Austen's time. We will also be having a tag sale ($1, $5, and $10 items) during the luncheon for a mini-fundraiser.
Our Regional Coordinator Kim Higgins also revealed the date and location for this year's annual Birthday Luncheon, set for Dec. 1 at the Oaks Park Pavilion. Plus, there will be English country dancing!
