“You Are Passionate, Jane,” a new playlet by Diana Birchall to premiere in Seattle, on Mercer Island on Sunday, August 12, 2012 @ 2pm, by the Jane Austen Society of North America Puget Sound chapter.

"Written by Austenesque author Diana Birchall, this light, bright and sparkling diversion imagines what it would be like to be privy to an intimate view of two literary legends [Jane Austen and Charlotte Brontë] in tête-à-tête when they meet in heaven for the first time!"

Reading group discussion outline

Dear Reading Group members,

Attached is the final outline for our discussion group tomorrow [see reading group event reminders below for time and place]. The discussion questions are only aids to discussion. Each group will not be able to discussion each question.

We are going to divide into groups of about 10 people. Each group will pick one book. We do not recommend that any group discuss Pride and Prejudice.

  • Please read over the bylaws sent out via email about 2 months ago, as we will be discussing and ratifying them at the meeting
